About

Outpost Charity key areas of support

Provision of Necessities

The provision of necessities is support that is provided to members of the Armed Forces Community who are experiencing financial hardship and difficulties. Items we provide can include; food and clothing, utilities, white goods etc. Whilst providing these items we create a bridging system of support by referring or signposting to, or working in conjunction with other military organisations with the aim of helping our beneficiaries rebuild and work though difficulties and ultimately reaching a financial balance that is manageable and stable for the longer term.

Veterans Camp Program

Veterans Camp Program, an all-inclusive camping and multi activity retreat for veterans to improve mental health, wellbeing, physical health and social circumstance. Using alternative therapy concepts such as nature, wilderness and adventure therapy, camps provide a source of support which is safe, non-judgemental and a no pressure atmosphere that is shared with other like-minded members of the Armed Forces Community.

Camps are primarily held in the Highlands of Scotland 4 times per year; this is due to the extensive landscape, peace and serenity which to provides a powerful healing to those with mental health illness and affiliated symptoms.

Dear Mr Wombwell

I, on behalf of Outpost Charity would like to thank Veterans Support UK not only for establishing this fantastic initiative to provide support to Armed Forces Charities but for agreeing to support Outpost Charity too.

By supporting Outpost Charity this opportunity will provide promotion of our cause and vital funding through the sales of products which will ultimately help towards ensuring our work can continue in helping some of what can be the most vulnerable and financially destitute members of the Armed Forces Community.

Being a small, 100% voluntary charity any funds we receive are more than appreciated by not only Outpost Charity but by all those whom we support and are utilised in a way that will provide the greatest impact.

Please accept this letter as official authorisation that the Outpost Charity Board of Trustees give their explicit permission for Veterans Support UK to support and raise funds in aid of Outpost Charity.

Once again, we would like to express our sincere thanks to Veterans Support UK.

Yours Sincerely

Carl Burns
